Literature Text

You woke to find yourself fully clothed in your old outfit, lying alone in yours and Loki’s bed. You sat up and stretched, looking around the cell. You noticed the curtain around the cell was completely gone. You glanced around; Loki was on the opposite side of the cell, sitting in one of the thrones, his legs crossed. One of his elbows rested on the arm of the throne, he held his face in his hand. He was also returned to his former ensemble, green and gold and Asgardian, though it seemed disheveled.

You frowned. Something was not right. You stood from the bed and walked over to Loki slowly, carefully. “Is something wrong?” you asked.

Loki looked up at you, he looked serious, angry, and exhausted. He had shadows under his eyes. His hair stuck out in every direction, and his eyes were red. “Something is very wrong.” He grumbled.

You stepped towards him. He waved his hand at you; you fell to your knees, screaming in pain. Loki stood and walked over to you, looking down on you. “Why are you in here?” He groaned. You opened your mouth to answer, but he waved his hand again. Your pain intensified, you fell to the ground, clawing at the floor, screaming. He stood over you, frowning. “No lies.” He growled.

You looked up at him, tears burning in your eyes, “I didn’t tell any lies!” you shrieked.

Loki squatted in front of you, grabbing your chin harshly. “Why are you in here?”  He hissed.

You bit your lip, a single tear falling down your cheek. He jerked his hand away, standing quickly. He turned away from you, his eyes burning with tears he could not shed in front of you.

“Loki,” you cried, reaching for him, “Please, I would never lie to you!”

Loki turned to glare at you, “Go ahead and call your friends.” He spat. “Call for help from your friends…” He spun away from you, marching back to his throne.

You crawled over to him. You stood shakily. He raised his brows at you, challenging you with his eyes. You stepped right up to him. In one fluid motion you raised your hand, bringing it back across his face with a sickening smack.

Loki turned his face back to you, his cheek turning a fiery red. He looked at you sadly.

You glared at him, shaking with anger. “You self-centered, self-righteous, self-absorbed JERK!” You screamed, turning and running across the cell, leaping into the bed and screaming into a pillow.

You began crying, loudly, harshly. Your throat burned, you turned to face Loki, screaming hoarsely, “I thought you had changed! You were supposed to change!”

He stared at you coolly, his lip trembling.

You grabbed a pillow, throwing it at Loki’s face. It fell harmlessly out of the air before it reached him. You screamed in frustration, grabbing another, and another, throwing them harder and faster.

Loki deflected each of them easily, a pile of pillows forming on the ground between you two.

When you ran out of pillows, you screamed again. You sat staring at Loki, breathing heavily, your tears falling freely down your face. Inhaling deeply, you turned away from Loki. “What was going through you mind?” you sniffled.

Loki raised his chin, not answering.

You shook your head, turning to face him. “Answer me!” You choked.

Loki shook his head. You stood from the bed, walking over to him. He uncrossed his legs, letting his hands hang over the arms. You sighed and sat in his lap, laying your head in the crook of his neck.

“You’re so emotional…” you whined. Loki did not answer, but lay his head on yours. You reached for his arms, pulling them around yourself. “Why can’t you just trust me?” you whispered, squeezing his hands. You turned to look up at him, “I would never lie to you, I-“

You were interrupted as Loki smashed his lips against yours, pulling you close and squeezing you tight. The kiss was very wet, and when Loki pulled away you realized why. You had both been crying. A lot.

You laughed lightly, still crying, “Oh, gosh.” You looked at the cell wall, “What will they think watching the cameras.”

Loki coughed, “They didn’t see any of it.”

You turned to look at him, “But the curtain’s gone.”

Loki smiled proudly, “They saw an illusion.”

You laughed, wiping your eyes, “What did they see?”

Loki brushed your hair back, smirking, “Well… we were in bed…”

You gasped, punching Loki lightly in the chest.

He laughed, wiping his eyes as well, “Asleep!” He assured you.

You turned to him, smashing another wet kiss on his lips.
